P&V MERCHANTS TAKEOVER. ROOM 13. FEB 29, 2020

Sydney booze gurus P&V Merchants rolled into town on February 29. The Newtown-based specialists was taking The Slow hostage with a full venue takeover, devoted to natural wines, bar bites, and good times by the P&V co-founders Mike Bennie and Lou Dowling.

“This has to be one of the best collaborations we’ve had the pleasure and thrill of being part of,” says Bennie. “Being invited to The Slow in Bali is straight up amazing and will be so darn fun – to bring an arsenal of natural wine to Bali is so unique, let alone letting Lou and myself bring our customary P&V vibe to an event at the brilliant, multi-faceted venue that is The Slow. Overall, it’s a brilliant location, amazing space, sensational food ethic and all-up perfectly synched as a one-off and potent experience for those in Bali over the last weekend in February 2020.”

The P&V Merchants team was pouring a curated selection of natural wines from around the globe, focused around Australian avant-garde and artisan producers. “A range of good-times, fizzy and fun pet nats, a deep selection of killer orange wines, straight-up to-be-chilled-and-crushed, light reds and, of course, some more serious gear for those inclined. We’re hauling over big names from Australia like Lucy Margaux (Adelaide Hills), Ochota Barrels (Adelaide Hills), Brave New Wine (Great Southern, WA) alongside baller wines from Radikon (Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy) and more. It’s a pretty, darn good opportunity to drink diversely and well.” says Bennie.
